Gaming EDU Online Course

  • Weekly Zoom meetings with students of similar interest
  • Google Classroom for assignments and record keeping
  • Optional individualized homework programs
  • Play games together and compete for your place in the leaderboards
    • English – literature circles, writer’s workshop, growth mindset and grammar/spelling lessons
    • French Second Language – Duolingo classroom, Quizlet tournaments and individual reading/wirting lessons
    • Math – CTC math membership
    • Science – Interactive group and individual online games
    • Social Studies – Canadian and World History activities, including optional Minecraft builds
    • Art – digital art, drawing/painting lessons,, hands-on suggestions related to other subject areas.

  • This course is especially successfully for students with Aspergers
  • Learning plans, mid-term reports/status updates and evaluation reports included
  • Fees: $1500 24-week course
  • Reduced fees for 1:1 tutorials if required
  • 2019 – Open to students in grades 5-8 (Elementary cycle 3 and secondary cycle 1)
  • Class size: 10-15 students

Note: while this course meets the progression of learning, it is not designed to prepare students for exams. Evaluation will be according to the competencies of the Quebec Education Program and according to the Framework for the Evaluation of Learning.
